Shift Supervisor WEEKENDS – St Marys ON

The Shift Supervisor Weekends is responsible for the front-line manufacturing processes related to ensuring that staff, ingredients and equipment come together timely and efficient manner to accomplish the production goals of the organization. This position is Friday to Sunday 12 hr shifts– 2 week rotation
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Decisions on production of food
  • Interaction with Solis customers
  • Adherence to quality standards, safety programs, HACCP and CFIA requirements
  • Design and Implement Lean Initiatives
  • Employee relations-both recognition & disciplinary action
  • Monitors inventories and adjusts production to meet orders placed
  • Various meetings:  Staff, supervisor, Solis customers, community interaction and suppliers
  • Interview of prospective staff
  • Continue to revise and implement employee training goals and objectives
  • Establishes and ensures Shift productivity goals are achieved
  • Development, implementation and monitors all maintenance, safety, sanitation and legislative requirements
  • Direct shift change meetings to focus optimal shift utilization
  • Mentor and Coach Lead Hands & Team Leaders to improve Leadership skills
  • Attain quarterly goals as per Business Plan
  • Ensures all forms are completed & signed for Plant requirements
  • Promote a healthy quality of life for employees
  • Other duties as assigned
 Qualifications:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in manufacturing / production management or a related field of study ; and/or equivalent related work experience
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills combined with superior organizational skills
  • Effective analyzing and problem solving skills
  • Flexible - Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong management and leadership experience with ability to lead & motivate
  • Familiarity with HACCP, SQF
  • Financial and administration experience
  • Valid First Aid certificate  and Valid forklift licence (an asset)
