Our client located in Waterloo is looking for a VB.NET Developer, please see the description below to determine if you are a fit for the position.

Experience:
? 2-3 years proven experience with VB.net, Visual Studio, .NET Framework, Object
Oriented Design, WinForms
? 2-3 years of experience working with Internet applications and web development using
ASP.NET, PHP, JavaScript and HTML
? 2-3 years application experience with RDBMS, familiarity with MS SQL Server, and SQL
Anywhere
? Advanced understanding of SQL queries, views, and stored procedure development in
support of application requirements
? 2-3 years of experience with GIS and GIS programming (including, QGIS, SAGA,
MapWindow, and ArcGIS), as well as the use of GIS and AutoCAD for water resources
and related infrastructure (e.g. flood control and floodplain management) projects
? Experience with water quality/quantity modelling and use of hydrologic and hydraulic
models, such as FLUX, Visual OTTHYMO, HEC-HMS, SWMM and HEC Geo-RAS,
would be assets
? Experience with scripting using R statistical programming language would be an asset.
Skills
? Organized and self-motivated individual capable of producing results and meeting
deadlines
? Refined analytical and problem solving skills
? Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
? Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, associates, and
clients
? Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast paced, high change environment;
? Good initiative and attention to detail
? Expected to manage work with minimum supervision
