About the Opportunity

• Deduce systems issues, determine probable causes and eliminate possibilities to identify the true problem
• Engage with third party vendors and determine the best approach to keep them engaged
• Work with a team of experienced Operations Systems Specialists to solve complex problems and provide the best possible customer service
• Work with the following to fix technical issues:
  • OpenLDAP
  • Bash Scripting
  • Programming (Perl, PHP, Python, C)
  • Package Management (RPM’s)
  • Apache
  • Nginx
  • Cyrus IMAP
  • EXIM
  • ZFS
  • DRBD
  • iSCI
  • ffmpeg
  • Minerva 5.x
  • H.264, MPEG2, MPEG4
  • Sencore IP Core Monitoring Probe
  • INCA
  • Entone Kamai 500, Amulet 45x, Amulet 50x
  • TR-069 ACS and other related TR’s
  • CFEngine
  • KVM
  • XVM
  • OpenStack
     

You Offer

• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Adaptability with a quick learning demeanor
• Previous experience with Linux and the above applications
• 5-10 years’ experience as a systems administrator in a Unix shop
• Post-secondary education in Computer Information Systems or related field
• Previous experience with TV platforms an asset.
• Valid Class G Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
