HOURS OF WORK:            8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

RATE OF PAY:                   $19.42 - $23.31 per hour

JOB SUMMARY: The Receptionist greets visitors, provides support at the Education Centre to the main switchboard, and responds to the inquiries. This position also assists with booking meeting facilities, clerical support, and other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•             Greet public at reception or by telephone.
•             Answer queries and redirect to correct individual or department.
•             Accept documents and mail.
•             Issue visitor passes, inform staff of visitor arrival and provide directions to rooms.
•             Receive requests and schedule room bookings within the Education Centre.
•             Assist with related tasks as requested.


QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with business and keyboarding skills (30 w.p.m.). The ability to use Word and Excel is also required. Selected candidates must successfully complete a practical skills assessment. Previous related and switchboard experience is an asset.
