Job Description

Mitsui High-tec (Canada), Inc. is new company starting a manufacturing facility in Brantford and we require a Tooling Technician to join our team!  There is huge potential for future growth due to our state of the art technology in the ever growing ecofriendly vehicles market.  At the same time, we realize we may have to face obstacles in the process of growing our business in Canada.  We are looking for a person who exhibits enthusiasm in our dreams and would like to help us reach our long term goals.  As a company we would like a person who can grow with us and be an important asset for many years to come.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises daily tool/die related operations
  • Ensures compliance of tool/die maintenance schedule
  • Responsible for tooling inclusive of test tooling, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting
  • Assist in analyzing staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance to production schedules and budget for production processes
  • Assists in hiring production employees, integrates new hires, coordinates production staff
  • Evaluates performance of direct staff members
  • Identify problem areas, recommend, coordinate, and implement solutions
  • Collaborates with other departments to maintain the ISO quality systems
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ manufacturing experience with proven background managing tooling operations
  • Tool and die certificated preferred but not mandatory
  • Understanding and experience with ISO based quality systems
  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing engineering/tooling in all phases of manufactured parts
  • Strong team building and team leadership
  • Previous experience with surface grinders, wire EDM
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
