Position Summary
Responsible for working within CSA compliance and safety standards as it relates to the Ministry of Labour. Troubleshooting and efficient resolution to reduce equipment and production downtime. Assist in projects and development of machine parts. Work on teams to develop counter measure and Kaizen.

Position Summary

Position Responsibilities:
- Complete records concerning PM’s
- Replacement of defective equipment/parts
- Equipment repair including diagnosis and appropriate resolution
- Installation of new equipment and/or parts
- Dismantle and reassemble machinery and equipment as needed
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Removal of drummed waste, maintenance team members change out the barrel for the production departments
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Maintain certification process of equipment and plant compliance
- Participate in kaizen activities
- Facility Repairs
- Make improvements and participate in Aisin 1P1K program
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills
- Welding/Fabricating
- General Machining including Lathe, Mill and Surface Grinding
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Experience in an automotive JIT manufacturing environment
- Experience with resistance welders, robotic mig welding, caulking & riveting machines and automated assembly lines is desired
- Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in a similar maintenance and millwright role
- Strong maintenance background
Beneficial Skills and Experience:
Tier 1 & Tier II Automotive experience is desired
Experience in sourcing equipment & tools an asset
Education/Training/Certifications Required
- Certification as Industrial Millwright or related discipline is required
