The Student Conduct Coordinator leads the non-academic behaviour management and discipline practices of the Western University community.  Reporting to the Associate Vice-President Student Experience, the Student Conduct Coordinator directs and oversees the compliance of the University Student Code of Conduct (non-academic).
 
Collaboratively with the Associate Vice-President, Student Experience , the incumbent will review, respond and make decisions regarding all code of conduct violations, ensuring all parties are treated fairly.  The Coordinator also creates and sustains an effective learning environment by designing policies, providing discipline processes and conducting programs and education that foster ethical development, personal accountability and civility towards others.
 
Qualifications
Education:
-   University degree in student affairs, criminology, social science or other related discipline
-   Master's Degree is preferred
 
Experience:
-   3 years' experience in behaviour management/conduct or judicial affairs in a university setting
-   Mediation training experience and certification and/or experience with alternative dispute resolution and resultative justice model
-   Experience interacting and establishing credibility with multiple stakeholders and maintaining collaborative working relationships with a University setting is preferred

-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence dealing with all levels of an organization
-   Possesses a reputation for resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
-   Energy, enthusiasm and confidence in ones abilities
-   Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
-   Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities
-   Self-driven, independent thinker who is highly motivated and possesses an intrinsic passion for quality
-   High degree of professionalism with outstanding ability to work effectively and efficiently with internal and external clients at all levels of management
-   Creative problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment, especially regarding confidential/sensitive matters
-   Demonstrated ability to apply creativity, innovation and resourcefulness to daily work
-   Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
