Job Description
DYNA-MIG, A Division of F&P Mfg., Inc. is a Japanese "Just in Time" automotive parts supplier with a state of the art facility located in Stratford, Ontario. Our production processes include robotic GMAW and resistance welders, cold forging and an e-coat paint system. We weld, assemble and paint suspension and body components.
Duties of Position:
- Provide primary support for new product Launch
- QA Support for Mass Production
- Emphasis on Stamping, MIG Welding and Assembly
- Support supplier process/part approval and development
- Support development of FMEA Control Plan and APQP
- Responsible for PPAP submission
- Participate in improvement projects between Suppliers and internal processes to achieve internal quality goals
- Participate in quality improvement activities including RPN reduction
- Process capability assessment through SPC
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering/Quality Assurance or similar
Experience:
- Experience with Stamping, MIG welding and Resistance welding
- Experience with product launch/PPAP submission “Core Tools”
- Hands on experience in APQP
- Five years previous experience in automotive manufacturing in product launch
- Practical measurement skills with basic tools – calipers, micrometers etc.
- Experience with attribute QC fixtures
- Experience with GD&T, MSA, SPC
- Problem solving techniques 5P or 8D
- Familiar with general OEM standards
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Familiar with requirements of TS 16949 quality system
- Strong technical and analytical aptitudes for problem solving
- Ability to read / understand engineering blueprints, standards, etc.
- Computer literate – MS Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Prioritizing / time management skills, ability to cope with multiple tasks
Wage:
- $55,000 - $65,000 dependent on experience
Shift:
- 7:00am – 3:30pm
- May be required to work varying hours dependent on production demands
- Overtime required

- Some travel required
- Valid driver’s license required
