Armour Group Inc. and affiliated companies are a group of companies providing administrative support for a variety of programs and products in the insurance sector. Established in 1995, this fast growing company is looking for a highly motivated team player to fill a full-time position as Controller.

The successful candidate will hold a CPA or similar designation, with preference to advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration.  5 plus years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred. Past experience in the life and or property/casualty insurance industry (insurer and/or brokerage) would be an added plus. This role's duties will require planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading a small departmental staff. You will succeed in this position if you are comfortable being hands on, can effectively manage multiple objectives within strict time constraints and enjoy working in a dynamic company environment.
This is a senior role in the organization reporting directly to the President/CEO.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare monthly financial statements providing accurate analysis of organization’s results
  • Oversee/Perform all accounting transactions including AP, AR, GL, payroll, budget to actual reports
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
  • Monitor the financial performance of the companies
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management
  • Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll
  • Oversee and manage relationships with banks, credit card agencies and third party payment processing vendors
  • Develop/maintain/improve timely and accurate information systems which aid in planning, control, and management of the operations
  • Ensure proper statutory reporting and payments
  • Budgeting /forecasting for the organization
  • Provide overall support specifically to the Senior Management Team and organization
