The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry provides outstanding education within a research-intensive, distributed learning environment, where tomorrow's physicians, dentists and health researchers and other scholars learn to be socially responsible leaders in the advancement of human health. The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry is the largest Faculty on the Western University campus and employs over 2,000 part-time and full-time faculty members and over 1,500 staff.

The Department of Family Medicine specializes in training comprehensive family physicians and future leaders in family medicine. This is done through a highly adaptable program that includes tailor-made curriculum and educational programs for residents.

The Systems Coordinator defines, develops, tests, analyzes, and maintains new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements including writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The incumbent will also research, design, document and modify software applications throughout the production life cycle and liaisons between the Hospitals and Schulich for network and hardware issues. The Department has a number of in-house database systems that are critical to day-to-day operations. The Systems Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and provided any needed development for these databases and providing user support as necessary.
 
Qualifications
Education:
-   3 Year University degree in Computer Science or a related field

Experience:
-   5 years' experience with web application development (programming) using Microsoft technologies including experience supporting applications during their full lifecycle 
-   Experience posting web applications with Internet Information Services (IIS) and Windows Server

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-   Proficiency in a variety of programming and scripting languages, including but not limited to:  C# (C Sharp), T-SQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript/JQuery
-   Proven understanding of Domain Driven Design approaches and repository data access patterns 
-   Demonstrated relational database design and Entity Framework code first experience
-   Thorough understanding of hosting platforms such as Microsoft Server and ISS
-   Solid working knowledge of current internet technologies and frameworks, including ASP.NET MVC/Web API/Web Forms, AJAX, REST 
-   Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
-   Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical users
-   Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
-   Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
-   Ability to conduct research into software related issues and products
-   Self-driven, independent thinker who is highly motivated and possesses an intrinsic passion for quality
-   Strong attention to detail
-   Proven critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities
-   Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
-   Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
