Sifton has partnered with Prime Management Group Inc. in the exciting search effort for a highly organized, analytical, and engaging Director of Finance to join their progressive team in London.

Reporting to the Vice-President – Finance & Administration, the Director of Finance will provide hands-on leadership and direction over the Company’s finance and accounting function while establishing and maintaining consistent and efficient internal controls, audit processes, and financial reporting requirements. In keeping with Sifton’s overall financial requirements and organizational goals, the Director of Finance will coordinate the preparation of budgets and forecasts for all business units while empowering decision-making capacity for senior management and the Company’s operating units.

Additionally, the Director of Finance will play a critical hands-on role in the implementation of the organization’s new finance system, including the design and application of best practices for processes and procedures, internal controls, and configuration of reporting functionality.

The ideal candidate for this exciting opportunity will have a post-secondary Degree in Business coupled with an Accounting Designation (CPA). Additionally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in a corporate finance leadership role with demonstrated experience developing, mentoring, and building high-performing teams. This individual will also have extensive experience in financial auditing, statistical analysis, project estimation, and scenario planning and will have proven abilities in complex financial statement analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and business modelling. A strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards for private enterprises will be foundational to this role for the completion of financial reporting and transactional classifications.

Moreover, this proven Finance leader will demonstrate an advanced technical aptitude of Excel and financial software and will effectively and succinctly present and translate complex technical data to a variety of audiences including auditors, government agencies, and the Board of Directors using well-honed communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience implementing a new finance/ERP system will be a definite asset. Knowledge of real estate/private corporation taxation will also be considered an asset for this opportunity.
