Job Requirements
- Work with stakeholders (engineers, business development, Prototyping) to lead delivery of major projects
- Develop and update systems and procedures to track and ensure engineering standards are met and maintained
- Work with finance and senior management to maintain and optimize budgets to meet goals
- Can execute, taking an idea from the Business Development team and making it a reality through the joint development of the Statement of Work (SOW) and managing each project to these requirements.
- Engage in all aspects of talent development (recruiting, mentorship, career development, progression and succession planning, etc.)
- Drive a mentality of ownership and accountability to each engineer for their assigned projects or tasks
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- 5 + years engineering experience in a highly engineered prototype and product manufacturing environment
- P. Eng considered a strong asset
- PMP designation an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills
- Good organizational, project management and time management skills
- Ability to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements including overtime
