Grand Erie District School Board represents more than 28,000 students in 58 elementary schools and 14 secondary schools within the City of Brantford and the counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk, as well as students from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Position Overview:
The Specialized Services Supervisor provides direction and leadership and professional learning opportunities for school board staff in alignment with the Multi-Year strategic plan and Annual Learning and Operating Plan priorities. This position will oversee community partnerships and act as a liaison with external professional partners. This position will ensure consistency of case management standards.
This position also assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision and oversight of Specialized Services staff such as Psycho-Educational Consultants, Communicative Disorders Assistants, Behavior Analysts, Behavior Counsellors, and Attendance Counsellors.

Responsibilities:
  • Performance management, clinical (psychology staff) and organizational supervision, recruitment, and professional development of all of the above
  • Responsibility for the oversight of a limited number of complex psycho-educational assessments and the management of the associated case files including administering assessments to students, creating reports on outcomes, and sharing that information with students, parents, guardians, and staff. 
  • Summer program support
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Education responsible for Specialized Services

Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree in psychology
  • Qualified Psychologist or Psychological Associate registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario of Ontario 
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a senior psycho-educational professional providing clinical supervision; comfortable leading multi-disciplinary teams in areas of resolving complex cases, school needs, and problems of practice.
  • Awareness of community resources and agencies, mental health and developmental services, family centered agencies and other practitioners in the Grand Erie community
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail and excellent customer service delivery
  • Exemplary interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • The successful candidate must be knowledgeable and experienced in evidence-based counselling and behaviour analysis within an educational environment as it relates to children’s psycho education strengths and needs.
  • Practical evidence-informed planning and execution is required along with proven demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and to collaborate to achieve desired outcomes are considered assets.

Hours of Work 7 hours per day/35 hours per week
Rate of Pay As of September 1, 2025
Hiring Range $105,604-$116,405
Salary Range $105,604-$120,003
