1.0 FTE Office Secretary
Indigenous Education
10-month position
JBLC (Brantford, ON)

The Board spans a geographic area encompassing the City of Brantford and the Counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk. The head office is located in Brantford.
Responsibilities:
Perform duties as assigned by System Leader of Indigenous Education. Which includes maintaining excel spreadsheets to track and monitor achievement data, Board Action Plan, Federal reports etc.
Clerical support for Indigenous Education team with professional learning sessions, meeting agendas, presentations, purchasing, expense reconciliation
Duties subject to change whenever necessary to meet staffing needs
Reception duties as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Secondary School Graduation Diploma (Grade 12 or equivalent education)
Experience with Ministry spreadsheets and reporting an asset
Able to work effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision
Must have excellent planning & organizational skills; ability to multi-task with numerous competing timelines
Proficient in the use of computers and Office 365
Basic bookkeeping skills (i.e. have the ability to record, balance and handle small amounts of funds)
Excellent keyboarding skills; speed and accuracy are essential
Exemplary customer service skills
Indigenous knowledge or cultural awareness would be an asset
Job Specifications
Hours of Work
Full-time, 10-month position. Currently 1477 hours annually
