Prime Management Group Inc. is pleased to be partnering with the WSIB in the recruitment of a strategic, transformative and forward-looking Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Services to join their senior leadership team at a pivotal time in the organization, with the transition to a new head office in London, Ontario and the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this visionary leader will assume full responsibility for the WSIB’s procurement and vendor management functions, shaping enterprise-wide strategy and ensuring disciplined oversight of all sourcing, supply chain governance, vendor management, and third-party risk.

Through a balanced approach that combines rigour with innovation, this accomplished executive will elevate procurement as a strategic enabler, aligning with organizational priorities, safeguarding compliance, and creating long-term value for the WSIB and its stakeholders. As a senior leader with deep expertise in procurement transformation, the Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Services, will inspire and lead a committed team that oversees procurement analysis, vendor quality, contract governance, risk frameworks, and market intelligence. This enterprise leader will modernize procurement by embedding a strategic sourcing model that promotes transparent processes, effective reporting, disciplined cost control, and continuous improvement, positioning procurement as a trusted partner in advancing WSIB’s long-term strategy.

This trusted senior leader, partner, and advisor will also ensure sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and compliance standards reflect the highest levels of accountability and transparency. With direct responsibility for advancing procurement as a core strategic capability, the Vice President will deliver the systems, policies, and oversight required to achieve value-for-money outcomes and enhance organizational resilience.

Beyond operational excellence, the visionary professional will serve as a key advisor to the executive team and board committees, while building constructive partnerships with suppliers, regulators, and industry peers. Through strong relationship management and the ability to influence at the highest levels, the respected leader will strengthen WSIB’s reputation for fairness, integrity, and sound financial stewardship.

To succeed in the role of Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Services, the ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, including a minimum of 8 years in a senior leadership role in a large and complex organization.
     
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline; a graduate degree is considered an asset.
     
  • A demonstrated record of implementing innovative sourcing strategies, governance frameworks, and risk management practices that deliver measurable organizational results.
     
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, including provincial procurement directives and federal and provincial trade agreements.
     
  • Extensive leadership experience with the ability to build high-performing teams, lead organizational transformation, and embed continuous improvement practices.
     
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills, proven ability to engage effectively with boards, senior committees, government partners, and suppliers.
