Canaccede Financial Group, a successful and growing Consumer Finance Business, is looking for a Technology Associate to work within our London, ON location.

This position reports to our Director of Technology Services and is integral to building depth and strength to our IT support organization.  The Technology Associate works closely with the Director of Technology Services, Tier 1 vendors and management teams, providing technical support and resolving technical issues, as well as assisting in project management to enhance our IT environment.

Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the Technology and IT Department and its initiatives
• Actively manage Tier-1 support vendors, and provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 issue resolution as required
• Support and maintain Windows Server domain environment, and relevant application servers
• Act as on-site contact to plan and implement IT system changes and upgrades
• Maintain and enforce appropriate IT security policies and procedures
• Facilitate the implementation, deployment and operation of information systems and technology solutions to meet business needs
• Oversee corporate intranet functionality, including training of staff in providing content to the site
• Plan and facilitate training of computer literacy skills of staff as needed, in addition to leading end-user training of new system deployments
• Conduct capacity planning for network bandwidth, backup and storage requirements, and other related needs
• Create status reports and updates as required

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years relevant experience in an IT role within a customer-service oriented environment
• Technology related degree or diploma, or relevant job experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows 7, Server 2008, Linux), Hardware, Software, PC assembly and components
• Strong knowledge of networking, managed Cisco switches and firewalls, VMWare virtualization
• Strong knowledge of IT security best-practices and proceduresExperience in PCI Data Security Standards compliance and audits is an asset
