Headstart Employment Solutions is hiring a Program Manager for our Client in Concord, Ontario

Your Responsibilities:

  •  Coordinate APQP new product launch process internally and externally with the customer.
  • Evaluation of the progress of the launch projects.
  • Coordinate the specification and procurement of capital equipment, tooling, gauging and personnel for new launches.
  • Coordination and implementation of Engineering changes.
  • Attends and / or conducts meetings with customer, with respect to design / launch reviews.
  • Maintains proper filing systems to ensure all information is properly stored and easily retrieved.
  • Prepare business proposals/quotationsUndertakes other duties and responsibilities within the Engineering Department, if required by the Engineering Manager.
  • Assists in the development of quotations for new work and engineering changes.
  • Creation of quality documentation and work instruction for new equipment and tooling.
  • Development and maintenance of quality documentation in the area of Process Flow diagrams, PFMEA’s, DFMEA’s, QA Function and Work Instructions.
  • Provides Engineering support to other departments within the company as directed by the Engineering Manager.
  • Initiates plans and ideas for cost reduction and / or quality improvement measures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the organization is working with the most up-to-date and pertinent engineering drawings, databases and parts list.
Your Qualifications:
  • Engineering Degree/Diploma or Equivalent of minimum 5 years in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years minimum Program Management experience in the automotive industry in a Tier Program role
  • Experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to work flexible hours as required.
  • Able to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)
  • Must be able to work in a strictly confidential matter
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment
  • Tooling experience is a must
  • Thorough knowledge of TS16949/QS9000, APQP procedures, Quality Engineering, Supplier Management, Blueprint Reading, Advanced Measuring Techniques, Computer Literate,
  • Knowledge of GD&T, QFD, Design for Manufacturing, VE/VA, DOE, DFMEA/PFMEA, Floor Plans,   Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, Quoting Procedures / Contract Review.
  • Working knowledge of AUTOCAD / MS Project / Catia
