Eclipse Scientific is looking for experienced mechanical design engineers to compliment its growing product division. Applicant would apply engineering principles to initial concept development, model and design hardware using CAD and test, review and refine current products. The applicant may also provide assembly and project management support.

Job Description:
Eclipse Scientific is looking for experienced mechanical design engineers to compliment its growing product division. Applicant would apply engineering principles to initial concept development, model and design hardware using CAD and test, review and refine current products. The applicant may also provide assembly and project management support.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Turn research ideas into technical plans, produce sketches and sample designs using CAD software
- Research, using mathematical modelling to work out whether new developments and innovations would work and be cost effective
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
- Consulting and clarifying design issues with managers/clients
- Hands on work with the assembly and testing of NDT products and equipment
- Quality management within an ISO 9001 regulated environment
- 2+ years experience in product design
- Good visual and spatial awareness and well-developed technical and creative skills
- An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles
- An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
- Understand technology, production methods and materials, and be able to meet deadlines and work within budgets
- Engineering skills in design engineering, 3D modelling, digital surfacing, drawing creation, reverse engineering, component selection, purchasing, vendor management, and project management
