Job Description

Accountabilities:
  • Rotating shifts: days, afternoons and midnights
  • Maintain production lines to meet production requirements
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Continuous improvement (kaizen activities)
  • Robotics-ABB and Motoman (teach and troubleshoot)
  • Servo Programming (teach and troubleshoot)
  • Omron and Automation Direct PLCs (troubleshoot program)
  • Minor wiring (sensors, lights etc.)
  • Manage spare parts
  • Pneumatics
  • Mechanical troubleshooting
  • Facilities maintenance (building)
  • Experience with high pressure water jet machinery an asset
  • Other activities such as preparing visual aids, manual inventory systems for spare parts and plant support where required. 
Education:
  • Millwright or Electrician Certification 
Competencies:
  • Experience with PLC programming, pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electricity
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Team Player
  • 3-5 years experience as a Millwright or Electrician
  • Attention to detail
  • Understands the “big picture” and how actions affect the rest of the organization
  • Energetic, Self driven / motivated to continuously improve
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is an asset
