Our client, a Chemical manufacturer in the Guelph, Ontario area is looking to add an Electrician to their team.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting the preventative maintenance plans as scheduled for the entire plant, auxiliary equipment and buildings.
• All repair work to equipment and building as internally capable and practical.
• Working on pumps and valves.
• Working on control panels and some PLCs (Allen Bradley)
• Assist in development for more efficient and meaningful PM plans.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a parts crib and inventory.
• Trouble shoots equipment failures.
• Conduct annual inspections where applicable.
• Processing of maintenance documentation (i.e. Work orders and inspection documents).
• Other duties as assigned by the Plant manager or delegate.

Initial Qualifications for Hire:

• Minimum of grade 12 education
• Certificate of Qualification - 309 A or 442 A license required
• STRAIGHT DAYS shift Monday to Friday
• Must be willing to work OT and weekends when required
• Minimum of Three to five years of maintenance experience within an a food or chemical manufacturing environment
• Electrical/Electronic knowledge and experience with generators, control systems and PLC would be a strong asset
• Previous maintenance supervisory or lead hand experience a tremendous asset
