Job Description

Shipper Receiver (30 minutes from London)

Our client is a global manufacturing leader who has a diversified client base across the construction, agricultural, transportation and the marine industries, not the automotive industry. They are currently searching for and experienced SHIPPER/RECEIVER to join their team at their facility located approximately 30 minutes from London. The successful individual will be responsible for shipping/receiving functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties
  • Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
  • Ship all parts and materials as required,
    • Organize and prepare shipments accurately according to daily shipment lists and ensure customer products are shipped on-time
    • Load carriers safely and efficiently while ensure safe working environment and no damage to customer products
  • Unload and receive inbound orders in ERP system, inspect load for accuracy according to packing list, and put away material to stock locations upon quality inspection completion
  • Complete production material picking lists to avoid production line stoppages
  • Communicate immediately to warehouse supervisor discrepancies between orders and goods, such as delays, condition, weight, quality, etc.
  • Arrange UPS shipments to support production department activities such as tool crib, maintenance and etc.
  • Coordinate packing and shipping of all goods, including assembling packages, weighing them, and a fixing proper shipment labels per shipping department requirements.
  • Proactively address inaccuracy of inventory, should it occur
  • Accurately perform inventory stock level count
  • Work in a safe manner and adhere to all Company policies and procedures as well as Health and Safety Regulations
  • Ensure sufficient stock on of shipping/receiving supplies
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping & receiving area, which includes warehouse racking bin locations and aisle ways maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment
  • Assist in training and providing guidance to team members as needed to perform shipper/receiver duties
  • Perform other general warehousing duties as assigned by warehouse supervisor

Qualifications
  • Previous shipping/receiving experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous forklift experience and you possess a current forklift licence (universal or in-house).
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Access to reliable transportation as this company is located 30 minutes north of London.
