The North Kent Mutual Insurance Company (NKMi) is growing and currently seeking motivated, results driven sales professionals to join our experienced sales team selling coverage for farm, property, commercial and automobile insurance on a commission basis. As an independent contractor you will have unlimited earning potential and be eligible to participate in our competitive benefit/pension package and company paid training opportunities.
In this role, you will be responsible for handling your own sales, at your pace with flexibility in scheduling while meeting or exceeding assigned targets and objectives for the portfolio you will build and grow. You will manage all aspects of your portfolio including inbound and outbound customer contact, retention and sale verification services on high quality insurance product offerings through personal and telephone appointments.
You will achieve service standards and commitments while considering the insurance needs and best interest of each policyholder. You will utilize proven and established customer-centered processes, which include; recognizing retention opportunities, cross-selling, up-selling, administering cancellations, and conducting sale verifications.

The Experience and Qualifications You Need:
- A current and valid Agent License (OTL) or possess the ability to obtain the license within 30 days.
- Exceptional relationship building and people skills.
- Professional oral & written communication skills.
- Dedication to delivering results and quality customer contact.
- Solid understanding of what it means to provide exceptional service to new and existing policyholders.
- Preference would be given to those that possess active OTL or RIBO license with a solid knowledge of Personal Lines insurance and previous sales experience.
