Application Designer 

Agricorp is looking for a .NET Application Designer to join the Development Services Group (DSG) in the Information and Technology Services division.

This position will be a key member of the .NET development team that supports ITS, corporate initiatives and projects across Agricorp’s programs.

The Role

As an Application designer at Agricorp Development Services, you will perform Design, development and systems analysis for complex processes in support of new solutions. You will work on requirements definition, application design and prototyping by translating needs to the result and ensure solution development and delivery of solution. In this role, you will:

  • Map requirements to solution and product
  • Prepare and maintain detailed design/technical specification documents for delivering requested business functionality through your solution
  • Work within development teams to ensure quality of the deliverables in configuring inbound and outbound web services, workflows, screens, views and business rules
  • Support and collaborate with System Test and User Acceptance test teams
  • Partner with business analyst and business users to create training material and documentation when it is required
  • Provide mentorship to other developers in Development Services Group to ensure Agricorp development standards and best practices are followed
  • Assisting Development Services team leaders in addressing production issues as required

Qualifications

  • B. SC. or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in system development using .NET FW3.5 or higher experience in FW4.0 or 4.5 would be an asset
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Solution design and implementation of new initiatives using WCF web Services
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in SDLC and ITS applications
  • Experience with and strong knowledge of Agricorp Common Foundation Components such as Customer Accounting (CA Services), Siebel CRM (CPC) and Customer Document Management (CDMS)
  • Knowledge of Development Services .NET best practices
  • Experience with BizTalk in systems integration would be an asset
  • Fully experienced in code management tools
  • Experience with technical documentation, MS Visio, MS Project, SharePoint and TFS
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to understand, analyze and solve business problems
  • Excellent communication skills and team working capabilities
  • Experience in data migration and synchronization in previous engagements will be definite asset
  • Experience in production support with strong analytical skills to identify and address production issues
