Our client in Waterloo has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Mechanical Products Designer (College Technologist) to join their team!
Responsibilities:
Designing new products, improving existing products, inspecting and testing products for fit, function and mechanical performance. Compiling test reports and design documentation. Reporting to and working under guidance of Engineering Manager
Working skills
• 3D solid modeling (parts and assemblies) using Solid Edge
• Knowledge of various plastic resins and plastic injection molding process will be preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of plastics part designing will be an asset
• Experience in Manufacturing environment
• Good Interpersonal communication and teamworking skills
Education and Experience:
• Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma,
• 3D CAD Modeling education (Design and Drafting)
• 2 years plastic processing in manufacturing experience
