Customer Service Representative – Front Desk
About the JobYour primary objective is support the Residential Sales Department by performing a wide range of administrative support duties, including but not limited to, assigned tasks, email, web inquires, wiki updates and completing courtesy calls.
You will be available as backup on an inbound sales queue where you will respond to inquiries, process orders and sell telecommunication services to residential customers.
Position Details
- This is a 14 month Contract position
- Hours are 9:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday in our Kitchener office, with the possibility of shift coverage in our Woodstock office

- Greet and direct all visitors, answering inquiries in a positive and professional manner at the front reception desk
- Present a positive and professional image of the organization while representing the company in all markets. Your aim is to provide “Over the Top” Customer Service
- Build strong rapport and effectively manage relationships with residential customers through superior customer service and communication to ensure a positive experience
- Respond to customer inquiries, requests and complaints by assisting walk in customers and being a backup part of a queue system
- Actively manage the residential email queue
- Responsible for locking/unlocking of front entrance
- Act as primary for customer pricing escalation calls and completion calls
- Maintain the reception area making sure merchandise is always presented neatly and that items are priced correctly with proper signage and notify marketing when materials are low
- Accept, enter and process account payments as well as the daily balancing of cash
- Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database
- Analyze customer information, provide recommendations on possible improvements to products and services and offer long-term solutions to retain customers
- Administer and manage customer pickup and/or exchange of product while maintaining inventory count
- Communicate with confidence, both verbal and written, using superior customer service skills and possess highly developed telephone etiquette
- Excellent, professional personal presentation
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft applications, internet and working with databases
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and within a team environment
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, plan, coordinate and monitor a significant number of functions simultaneously
- Strong attention to accuracy, detail and follow-up
- Must be a highly motivated team player that strives to provide exceptional service and take pride in the quality of your work
- The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any task!
- Diploma or certificate from a community college, diploma in business administration or secretarial arts or equivalent working experience
- Minimum 2 years front desk/receptionist experience
- Telecommunications experience is an asset
