Note: This is a full-time Administrative position (37.5 hours per week).

Duties: The Associate Registrar, Financial Aid and Awards, is accountable for the planning, development, organization, direction, administration and delivery of a range of financial assistance programs and services including Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and Tuition Set Aside financial needs-based bursary programs for students and prospective students for the College. The overall objective of the Associate Registrar is to lead the Financial Aid and Awards team to support the recruitment, retention and success of students with the resources available by reducing and/or eliminating financial barriers to the attainment of educational goals. The incumbent oversees day-to-day operations and strategic planning initiatives for these areas and provides leadership and support to the Financial Aid team in order to advise and assist students with all processes related to Financial Aid services. In addition, this role works closely with other members of the Registrar’s leadership team to ensure appropriate service delivery, with integrity, for the Office of the Registrar.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary 4-year degree in a relevant field, including Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration
  • Minimum 7 years of increasing levels of relevant responsibility, preferably in an educational setting
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with integrated student information systems (preference integrated ERP, document management and Ministry OSAP system), customer information systems, management and customer service principles
  • Must be conversant with government and College policies and programs, in particular the Student Financial Assistance Program
  • Demonstrated experience in computer systems and information management
  • Must demonstrate experience developing customer service standards for quality and processing commitments
  • Must be conversant with government and College policies and programs related to financial aid and awards
