We are seeking a full-time permanent Estate Administration Clerk for our Guelph office.

Your required skills and knowledge include

  • Provide assistance to executors or administrators with respect to administering an estate
  • Preparing the application for Certificate of Appointment and supporting documents
  • Preparing and arranging for publication of notice to creditors
  • Meeting with client’s accountants to assist in tax return preparation
  • Administration of transfer or liquidation of assets including survivorship applications for real estate and supporting Affidavits;
  • Communicating with lawyers, clients, accountants, transfer agents, banks and stock brokers
  • Conducting research to determine required documentation and procedure as it pertains to variances in Wills, Codicils, Holograph Wills
  • Ability to keep estate accounting records
  • Drafting documents and correspondence used during the administration of an estate

To be successful in this role, you have:

The successful candidate will have at least 4 to 6 years of estates clerk experience and an excellent knowledge of estate procedures, court forms and systems. Experience with estate software packages is an asset.

In order to be considered, the candidate must have exceptional communication and organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with little supervision. This individual has a professional attitude, is courteous, intelligent, responsive, resourceful, and has great client services skills. Please note that the candidate will need to have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle as some travel may be required.
