Job Description:
The Dietary Service Worker performs a variety of functions in the food service area including assemble patient trays, transport patient meal carts, deliver and retrieve patient trays, serving, and cleaning. This is a casual position to work days and evenings including weekends. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. Other duties as per job fact sheet.

Qualifications:
- Successful completion of secondary school required
- Recent Food Services experience in a healthcare environment required
- Safe Food Handlers Certification required
- Knowledge of keyboarding and Meditech a definite asset
- Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures required
- Must be able to work independently and within a team structure
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Regular attendance is required
