ABOUT THIS POSITION

Digital Extremes is currently seeking a Back-End Cloud Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will have experience in game development for our external project endeavors. You will work with cutting edge technologies, in an exciting novel area of development for the company.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in back-end technology choices
  • Cost-efficient back-end coding practices
  • Write robust, maintainable and secure code
  • Web-app front-end communication with back-end code
  • Game client/server communication with back-end code
  • Maintain code performance through profiling and optimization
  • Correspond with parties involved in features and feature requests
REQUIREMENTS
  • Post secondary in Game Programming, Computer Science, or relevant
  • Requisite language expertise: Node.js / Typescript, C++/C, Go (basic familiarity)
  • Databases: MongoDB [or similar NoSQL], SQL
  • UE4 [or similar engine] experience
  • AWS [or similar provider] experience
  • Perforce, Git
  • Strong communication skills, work ethic and motivation

  • M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science
  • B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science
  • Linux experience
  • AWS Certifications
  • MS/Sony/Nintendo console back-end integration
