IT Manager – BRANTFORD, ON

Solis Foods Corporation Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high quality snack inspired foods for both in- home and out-of-home consumption. Our state of the art manufacturing and distribution facilities, located in St. Mary’s, Ontario and Calgary Alberta and Sunrise Warehousing Company 3PL Distribution Facility in Brantford Ontario, service clients with the mission of ‘providing the highest quality products with exceptional service and great value for its customers’.

We are looking for successful results driven IT Manager who is able to provide exceptional IT leadership support for multi site locations. This position will be located in our Brantford office.

POSITION:

IT Manager will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of organization that analyze, design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems and provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities in a multi site facility. The IT Manager is responsible for end user training to achieve an effective use of IT systems and enhance staff knowledge and utilization within every department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Control the budget and expenditures of the department, company or project
  • Maintain all desktop computers and servers with equipment inventory listing of assets.
  • Available On-call to ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure all back-ups and performed daily and maintain systems up time of 99%.
  • Administer & Support EDI system.
  • Weekly reporting of items outstanding and ongoing projects
  • Develop and execute annual IT business plan and budget
  • Evaluate outside software and hardware vendors and make recommendations when required
  • Manage 3rd party IT vendors to ensure on budget and on time
  • Develop and implement IT training programs for staff end users of systems.
  • Recommend new applications and processes to improve the business
  • Systems Knowledge and experience: Great Plains Microsoft Dynamics, Accellos Warehouse system and EDI

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in the field of computer science and 5 years related work experience.
  • 3-5 years hands on experience as a system administrator Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
  • Excellent technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven project management experience with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development for multi site location.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Microsoft Windows Server Operating System administration
  • Microsoft Exchange Server administration
  • Microsoft Windows Desktop OS support and Administration
