Job Description:
Housekeeping is the facilitation of cleanliness for the entire hospital. This role is integral to the health and well-being of our patients and staff. This individual will be responsible for cleaning various support service areas including the processing of Hospital waste. The physical demands of the role include but are not limited to sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 20 kg, bending and repetitive actions. This is a full time position to work evening shifts (3-11pm) Monday to Friday. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of secondary school required.
- Previous experience within an environmental services position, specifically cleaning is required.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability working in a team environment required.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) required.
- Training in the transportation of dangerous goods act, completion of manifests and spill response is an asset
- Regular attendance is required.
