Research and Development Project Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Inter department coordination to create project plans for new product development
• Coordinate continuous improvement projects, process improvement plans, equipment installations in the plant
• Coordinate the SR&ED Tax Credit tracking program
• Update ERP system with article management and creation that reflects production requirements
• Translate customer requirements into value-added project plans and products
• Ensure maximum efficiency of new product launches or changes
• Oversee all steps of new product development through to successful first production
• Pro-actively follow up of all changes to existing products and coordinate changes with the team

Requirements:

• 2+ years of project management/coordinator experience
• Post-secondary in project management or related field
• Experience with Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing processes
• Creative mindset that is required for R&D and continuous improvement ideas
• Strong computer skills including use of ERP’s and Microsoft Suite
• Experience working in food manufacturing environment with HACCP training preferred
