The Role:

In the role, you will report to the Branch Manger and work within your assigned territory to maximize sales growth. Goals will be achieved through a combination of increasing sales to existing customers, building relationships with new prospects and supporting our customers with a level of service that can only be described as ‘the best’.

  • Working independently, you will manage your time and sales processes that will include:
  • Prospecting
  • Networking
  • Goal setting
  • Time management for success
  • Target account management
  • Call planning and reporting
  • Sales forecasting vs quota

Key accountabilities include:

  • Schedule personal calls on customers using a call schedule submitted in advance to the Sales Manager; rate customers per sales or sales potential
  • Promote the Company’s E-Commerce site to customers
  • Maximize GP levels on all product sold
  • Work with customers to maintain and increase sales volumes year over year.
  • Keep customers up to date on requested orders, company changes, vendors, new products and specials, promotions and counter days
  • Review open order report with customers to review old orders, returns, new orders, etc., and discuss with customers on each sales call
  • Trouble-shoot and assist customers with concerns
  • Complete customer quotes in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and complete call information on weekly call sheets
  • Turn in call sheets and expense information to Accounts Payable monthly
  • Maintain an updated list of each customer’s special “NETS”, discount and product overrides and follow up on any open bids
  • Work with customers to resolve past due accounts
  • Participate in continuous product training to maintain thorough knowledge of industry and competitive trends

About You:

  • You have at least 5 years HVAC and/or Plumbing industry experience with demonstrated product knowledge
  • Previous Outside Sales experience would be ideal
  • You are open to continually improving your sales skills through self-improvement, training and coaching.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers and customers
  • You are a strong organizer who can effectively prioritize tasks
  • You thrive in in a fast-paced environment with high pressure for results
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and have reliable transportation to travel to customer locations
