UI Engineer

Who We Are:
Yieldex ( www.yieldex.com ) created the first comprehensive, fully-integrated revenue and inventory analytics platform for digital publishers. Yieldex’s format-agnostic platform, YieldEdge, accurately forecasts, manages and prices inventory across all revenue channels. Digital publishers who use YieldEdge have stopped leaving money on the table because they no longer have to juggle multiple delivery platforms across channels and formats or untangle complicated, overlapping inventory.
We have a blue chip client roster, with customers who are very enthusiastic about our product, including NYTimes, Globe and Mail, Rogers, Dow Jones, Amazon.com, NBC, ABC, CBS, Turner Broadcasting, FoxNews, UK Telegraph, ESPN, France Telecom, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, WebMD, Scripps, Cars.com, Autotrader, Jumpstart, Kelly Blue Book, Pandora, Comcast, Healthline, Bloomberg, Weather.com, Accuweather, Travelocity, Orbitz, AARP, TechTarget, AllRecipes, CondeNast,....
Our current engineering staff is located in Boulder, Colorado. We are opening a second engineering office in Kitchener - Waterloo and if you are interested in working in either location let us know!
Role:
As a UI Engineer you should be comfortable working with both the client and server side code base. We use a variety of frameworks but it is centered around a java web framework. Our day to day tasks range from collaboration with the Product team to design, implement and test new features, enhance or fix existing features, working with Services or DevOps to advance the product and the processes. The set of products are constantly evolving as our customer base expands and we have to evolve with this. We have a lot of interesting work ahead of us and we are looking for the right people to help us achieve our goals. Below is a list of the criteria we look for in a candidate.

Nice to Have:
- Javascript framework experience e.g jQuery, node.js, Angular.js, express.
- Experience with charting packages and their integration into the UI e.g High Charts, Fusion Charts.
- Experience with test frameworks e.g. Webdriver, Phantom.js.
Should Have:
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and javascript.
- Experience with Java or other "C" related language.
- Experience building robust web applications that interact with a backend server.
- Experience with java web frameworks or comparable open-source frameworks.
Must Have:
- A willingness to learn new technologies.
- Strong attention for detail.
- A positive attitude goes a long way in our interviews.
- Willingness to collaborate, contribute and share the workload commensurate with your experience in a fast pace agile team.
