Job Description
Sunbeam Residential Development Centre is a non-profit organization that provides residential and support services to individuals with physical and developmental challenges. We are presently seeking applications for the position of:
HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Temporary Full-Time
One-Year Contract Position
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment, interviewing, and selection of staff; maintaining department policies and procedures; involvement in labour relation activities; acting as a resource to managers/supervisors/staff with respect to various Human Resources matters; job posting process. The incumbent will participate in Health and Safety as a committee member. The opportunity exists to plan and implement project work.
The ideal candidate will be a team player and a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Post secondary education with an emphasis on Human Resources and a minimum of 1-year experience in the human resource field is preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates who have completed or are working toward their CHRL designation. Experience in a unionized environment, and computer literacy (Microsoft Office) are definite assets.
