Hayashi Canada is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Support Team Member to provide assistance to our Tier 1 automotive production plant. The Maintenance Support Team Member performs a variety of duties related to the setup, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of machinery. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports our Maintenance Team Members as needed
• Facilities maintenance (lights / minor plumbing / snowblowing etc)
• Cleaning and organizing
• Shift work (2 week days – 2 week afternoons)
• Performs preventative and predictive maintenance
• Responds to calls and performs service on machinery
• Performs mechanical repairs (rebuilding clamps, motors, welding, etc)
• Performs any related duty from installation to repair/replacement as required
• Adjust machine parts to assist in machine performance and efficiency
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge and use of various hand tools
• 2-3 years proven mechanical experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude that can be applied to a variety of facility repair/maintenance needs
• Logical thinker, able to recognize and implement appropriate solutions
• Flexible and able to react/adapt quickly to changes
• Willingness and ability to learn required skill set during initial and ongoing training
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
• Available to work days, afternoons, including overtime as required
• Some pursuit in a mechanical field such as auto mechanic, farm mechanic, HVAC etc. preferred
