Talentcor Woodstock is currently recruiting for a Tool and Die Maker for a growing client in the automotive industry.

This is a Permanent Position!

Wage:

30.43/hr. Shift work, may be required to work overtime on weekends as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform full range of tool and die work
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, bills of materials, tool building drawings and specifications of tools, prototypes or models
• Operate all shop machine tools and hand tools
• Maintain and manufacture tools, dies and fixtures accurately to provide quality components at peak efficient levels
• Manage daily priorities for attainment of production schedules
• Maintain documentation and preventive maintenance requirement of press tools
• Identify, plan and implement tooling improvements for quality and productivity
• Participate in new tooling reviews; sign off approvals, and new tooling concept
• Perform assigned tasks within given time frames and monitor / report progress to plant tooling

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will possess Tool and Die Certificate 430A, or Tooling/Tool Maker Certificate 630T
• Must have past experience working with transfer and progressive tooling.
• A background in welding.
• Experience working within a TS 16949 environment would be an asset.
• Must have positive attitude and be a team player.
• Must be proficient in blue print reading and GDT
• At least 5 years’ experience in building or maintaining metal stamping dies is an asset
