Job Description

Position summary:
Coordinates the team and is responsible for applying policies and procedures.  Plays an intermediate role between workers and supervisors
Position duties:
May include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Monitor, promote and enforce safe practices at all times
  • Coordinate activities to ensure safe working environment
  • Promptly attend and resolve hourly employee conflicts as required
  • Promote subordinate involvement and promptly address respective requests and concerns
  • Ensuring daily production requirements are met
  • Promptly communicate changes and assignments to subordinates
  • Frequently audit all subordinate activities to ensure 100% compliance to their respective responsibilities and assignments
  • Validate that all scrap parts are non-compliant to quality standards prior to disposal
  • Coordinate time and resources to validate that all subordinates are properly trained when assigned to their working areas
  • Promptly and effectively communicate with co-workers
  • Ensure readiness of all resources required to meet 100% production schedule requirements at all times
  • Ensure readiness of all resources required to meet production scrap, machine efficiency and labor efficiency goals established by upper management
  • Enforce containment of defective product at the source and coordinate activities to promptly manage or correct the problem
  • Monitor and enforce housekeeping standards
  • Trains subordinates as needed
  • Regular and Predictable attendance
    Required skills and experience:

    Preferred skills and experience:
  • Must be familiar with computers with the ability to use Word, Excel, and other software packages
  • Forklift operation
  • Must have excellent communication and people skills
  • Must be aware of customer requirements and expectations
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks
  • Must be able to work overtime on a short notice
    Safety Requirements
  • Promote a safe work environment and is responsible for the safety of associates
  • Must understand the legal liability of this role and any related occupational and safety laws.
  • Ensures associates comply with safety regulations, identify a need for safety training, participate in accident investigations and see to timely resolution of safety concerns.
    Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Injection Mold
  • Minimum one years’ experience in a lead hand or supervisor role
    Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
    Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
    Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
    Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear
  • The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Must be able to stand continuously for the duration of scheduled shift
