Details of the Position:
 

• Earn approximately $31,000/year ($13 per hour plus overtime and shift premiums)
• Straight afternoons 3:00pm - 11:00pm (2 positions)
• Some Overtime may be required (Saturdays)
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping and polishing
• Gather and empty trash and take trash out to the dumpsters
• Clean machines from debris, dirt and dust
• Service, clean, and re-stock the washrooms
• Use of chemicals for cleaning solutions, spills, etc.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify managers concerning the need for repairs to the building 
• Inform management regarding ordering supplies or equipment maintenance
• Other job duties as assigned

 
What we would like you to have before you start:
 

• 1-2 years of janitorial/cleaning experience in an industrial environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be motivated and willing to take initiative to get the job done
• Must work well unsupervised and trusted with multiple responsibilities
• Able to follow direction given by supervisors and not be opposed to dirty work
• Excellent attendance is essential
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
• Must have CSA approved safety shoes/boots
