Our client, an automotive manufacturer in the Waterloo/Stratford, is looking to add an Industrial Nurse to their Human Resources team.

Job description/duties

• Responsible for the first aid room, provide treatment; evaluate/assesses injuries/disease
• Maintains medical supplies and equipment in the first aid room and first aid kits located throughout the facility
• Assists with early and safe return to work
• Short Term disability management; provide the employees with STD paperwork, initiate claims and provide supervisor/managers with regular updates.
• Conduct Accident/Hazard investigations
• Follow up with employees seen in the first aid room
• Run wellness programs

Experience

• Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) and Short Term Disability (STD)
• Practical Nurse Certificate
