What you will be doing:
 

• Work as a team in order to meet daily production requirements.
• Follow Standardized Work Charts (SWC) and Job Operating Sequence (JOS) sheets in assigned process and assemble parts and components on vehicle as outlined using hand and power tools and/or other provided equipment.
• Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations.
• Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories such as engines, transmissions, door panels, instrument panels, etc. using hand and power tools and other aids like overhead cranes.
• Perform inspections on process and communicate any defects to the Team Leader.
• Reduce defects by ensuring quality standards and accuracy expectations are met
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act by wearing proper PPE and following safe working practices.
• Perform other duties as requested and/or required.

 
 
What we want you to have before you start:
 

• High School Education (proof is required before interview)
• Post secondary education in a related field is an asset, but not required
• Minimum one (1) year of direct work experience in a manufacturing, assembly and/or quality environment
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of diesel motor vehicles is an asset, but not required.
• Good communication and problem solving skills
• Demonstrates a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a flexible manner and adapt to changes quickly
