JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Plant Maintenance Technician is to diagnose and repair a wide range of pieces of equipment and utilities used within the precast manufacturing plants. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required. This role reports to the Plant Manager.

The role of the Plant Maintenance Technician is to diagnose and repair a wide range of pieces of equipment and utilities used within the precast manufacturing plants. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required. This role reports to the Plant Manager.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Work with other Maintenance team members to accomplish tasks
- Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, concrete batching system, genie booms, boom trucks, forklifts and other hand powered tools
- Troubleshoot and test equipment
- Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment
- Weld and fabricate as required
- Facilitate the start-up and installation of new equipment
- Schedule maintenance along with production requirements
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and monitoring of all equipment
- Source suppliers and parts for equipment
- Maintain maintenance logs on equipment, where required
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies
- Work flexible hours when required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of trades related to equipment / electrical etc.
- Proficient in the use of all tools of trade,
- Minimum of five (5) years practical working experience, and
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
