Quality Engineer
You will work with Production, New Product Development Team, and APQP Team dedicated to quality planning activities.
Candidates must possess:
Candidates must possess:
- Diploma/Degree from College or University, or
- one to two years related experience and/or training, or
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- ASQ, CQT, CQA, CQE are all considered assets
- The successful candidate must possess experience with plastics/injection molding
Skills and Abilities:
- Developing and initiating standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
- Devise sampling procedures and designs, and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Conduct Gage Studies and report results.
- Maintain customer required documentation related to APQP, PPAP and IMDS activities on new and existing projects.
- Establishes and maintains the program to evaluate precision and accuracy of Inspection Measuring and Test Equipment (IMTE) and analytical related equipment and facilities.
- Maintains customer required documentation related to APQP and PPAP activities on all existing and new projects.
- Review and approve supplier PPAP.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
- Review customer websites daily for updates.
- Controls document and data requirements under the TS management system.
- Work directly with the customer and submit countermeasure responses to customer.
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
- Complies and writes training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- Participate in root cause analysis and verify effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
- Support Production Coordinator to maintain and update PFMEA's, MQC's and PQCT's.
