Job Description

Provide overall administration and technical direction to coordinate and maintain all IT requirements, including network, desktop and notebook operating systems, hardware and software, telecommunication, voice/data, smart devices, printers, copier/scanners and website modifications. Perform all functions and responsibilities in conjunction with the Tri-Mach’s policies and procedures.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second level support for users.  
  • Analyze business processes and match systems hardware/software through development of technical solutions.
  • Implement, maintain, administer and provide user support of business line applications including MS suite of standard applications, along with all hardware, and hardware upgrades.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain optimal performance, connectivity and operation of Servers, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches with respect to all LAN/WAN-related network sites and services.
  • Coordinate and implement network software.
  • Maintain and administer Phone Systems, Voice Mail System, and video, fax and print servers.
  • Complete Network Security Tasks including backups, anti-virus/malware, anti-spam, and disaster plans.
  • Install, configure and maintain the following devices; notebooks/tablets/desktop, cellular devices, desk phones, printers, faxes, photocopier/scanning machines.
  • Maintain an inventory of installed software and hardware and manage licensing.
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
  • Create and manage user email accounts and manage access control based on company policies.
  • Plan and implement various hardware and software upgrades including equipment refresh and Applications version upgrades, Windows updates and patches.  Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines.  
  • Facilitate, maintain and upgrade website and make modifications as required to keep up-to-date.
  • Provides user training and the creation of instruction manuals as required.
  • Document, develop, and maintain policies and procedures for all systems and processes.
  • Support of Web activity and applications.
  • Support end users with Microsoft NAV
 
  • Knowledge/Experience:
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Confident communication and customer-oriented skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT operating systems and server application environments including Windows Server 2008R2, Windows Server 2012, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2010, IIS, SQL, Dynamics NAV, Blackberry Enterprise Server & BES10 cloud service, Windows Terminal Server, Hyper-V, Office 2007/10/13, Virus apps/servers,Dell AppAssure, Dell Equallogics, Avaya IP Office, Pelco IP camera surveillance systems
  • Hands-on experience installing IT hardware and software.
  • Working knowledge with ERP systems, Microsoft NAV considered an asset.
  • Web experience.
  • University or college degree an asset.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
