We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Reinsurance Data Analyst to join our Statistics Department to support our Member Companies.
Key Responsibilities
This is a highly analytical role focusing on data examination, analysis and reporting. The Reinsurance Data Analyst will audit policy and claims files to ensure the integrity of the data being submitted by our Member Companies to a central database. Data is submitted to the Insurance Bureau of Canada and is an integral component of insurance rate filings and the securement of reinsurance contracts. In addition, the successful candidate will conduct review meetings in a professional manner by giving objective feedback and provide concise, professional written reports after each audit to the Member Companies within approved timeframes. The position is located in the Cambridge office with an extensive requirement for overnight travel to the Member Companies across Ontario throughout the year; extended hours will be required on occasion.

Education, Experience & Knowledge
- Knowledge of statistical reporting processes with one to five years related experience.
- Previous experience working in Claims or Underwriting in the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
- CIP or working towards the CIP designation is preferred.
- Above average proficiency in using databases and Microsoft Office Products required.
- Ability to adapt to and utilize the systems of various companies.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Proven interpersonal skills (communication, conflict management) with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written.
