Currently we are seeking a Territory Sales Representative for the Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo area

Job Details:

In this key role, the Territory Sales Representative will be responsible to achieve / exceed market growth with our Distributors and End Users. This role will have approximately 2/3 of its client base with Distribution partners and 1/3 of the client base with End Users. Although there is an existing client base, this role is still responsible for the development of new business in order to achieve company goals and objectives. This role is not only responsible for the promotion and sales of The Walters Group Brands but also the support that is given to our clients as we educate them on current offerings to meet their clients ever changing needs. A key aspect of the responsibility is building long-term customer relationships through a detailed understanding of the customer's business.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop and monitor sales in specific growth accounts
  • Make regular customer calls with Distributor sales personnel to accounts and other end-users that are potential customers for Walter Products
  • Independently identify and develop new customers
  • Technically support Walter Products both at our end users and our distributors
  • Document our products' performance by regularly preparing and submitting test reports and cost savings documents as required
  • Train key end users personnel and the Sales force of our distributor network to facilitate proper application guidelines for Walter products
  • Submit reports and forecasts as requested on a regular and prompt basis
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures during day to day business activities
  • Generate quote requests for special tool and projects and maintain a log of these opportunities
  • Perform regular follow up and information pertaining to the status of projects
  • Assists as required in the settling of issues that relate to his / her specific distributors. This may include credit, quality , administrative or other issues
  • Participate in local, regional or national trade shows as required
  • Overnight travel is up to 10% of the job


Qualifications:
  • The qualified individual will demonstrate the ability to develop knowledge of customer business processes
  • Will have experience in customer relations and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in Word and Excel
  • Be able to work as part of a team while being flexible and self-motivated
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Previous experience in metal working high tech tools and services is required. The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a CNC Programmer, Manufacturing Engineer, Technician or have previous work experience in a similar sales role
  • Preference may be given to individuals who possess a post-secondary education
