Position Responsibilities:
 
You will work with various internal and external teams as a technical lead to design and support the successful deployment of the Organization’s solutions. You will work to ensure compliance with industry best-practices, design high quality, robust systems and perform configuration of interactive hardware and software solutions both proposed and deployed to the Organization’s Customers. You will be tasked with ensuring that the defined solutions are designed for deployment and support worldwide.
 
Specifically, the System Design & Integration Specialist will be responsible for bringing life to the solutions proposed by the team. You will be responsible for following industry best practices to create Bill of Materials, system design drawings, Scope of Work documents, hardware staging instructions; completing site surveys, mounting and installation documentation for the consistent deployment and operation of Organization’s solutions.
 
Performance Objectives:
 
  • Bring solutions to life with the Organization’s platform and approved products to address specific Customer needs.
  • Be able to create reliable, supportable, cost-effective interactive, and non-interactive Digital Media systems which may be deployed individually or in thousands of locations.
  • Understand the Customers’ technical requirements, network architecture, etc. and translate them into an end to end Organization hardware and software solution and configuration.
  • Recommend and implement standardized design frameworks and best practices to drive consistent design, construction and operation of Organization hardware and software solutions.
  • Be a primary Company technical point of contact for supporting critical technical design or support issues during all phases of the project deployment.
  • Train field deployment and support teams on the solution during the deployment and post deployment phases.
  • Document end to end deployment hardware and software configurations, transition solution support and maintenance into other Organizational Operations teams.
  • Investigate, define and validate technical merits and performance of new hardware platforms and new software releases, firmware and solutions.
 
 
 
Necessary Education / Experience:
 
  • Technical University Degree (B.S.), College Diploma or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience designing and deploying Digital Media, hardware and software solutions in a rollout environment.
  • Comfortable providing cross-functional technical leadership on project teams.
  • Experience developing design documentation and diagrams using Visio and other software tools.
  • Fundamental understanding of electronic theory, circuit design and component operation.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail with a methodical problem-solving approach and advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Client relationship management skills.
  • Results oriented, self-motivated, and team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with fluctuating priorities.
  • Experience working and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings is an asset.
  • Digital Signage Certified Expert or CTS designation is an asset.
  • Able to travel in North America between up to 25%-50% of the time to support client engagements.
