Our client in Guelph, ON is an independent, Member-owned co-operative formed in 1988 to provide energy products and services to our Members.  Membership is open to all stakeholders of the Ontario agricultural industry including farm operators, food processors, and goods & services providers to and supporters of the ag community.

Reporting to the Sales, Operations and Member Relations Manager, the Lead Operations Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring our low volume sector is profitable and strengthened.  Using your proven interpersonal and relationship building skills you will collaborate directly with both internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage our low volume (over 50,000 m3 or 150,000 kWh) customers and Members with respect to our energy products and services.  Your strong customer orientation will ensure that all customer contacts and communications relating to enrolments, renewals, LDC inquiries and concerns are carried out in a professional, courteous and timely manner. 
 
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Responsible for all queries, complaints -  communicate an effective resolution using LDC transactions as supporting evidence
  • Thorough understanding of all offerings, contract details, and creation of new products when applicable for both natural gas and electricity offerings
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Member Relations Manager to ensure sales growth plan is on target
  • Ensure all legal agreements are completed, recorded in CIS system as well as meet all OEB requirements where applicable
  • Provide back up for the Utility and Nominations Specialist
  • OEB relationship – quarterly filing, annual filings, renewal of licenses, attendance at Marketer meetings and all other required reporting/filing as required
  • Other energy reporting duties and relationships
  • Full knowledge of internal CIS (Customer information system) as this system drives the GDAR and DCB systems
  • Low volume Member communication and reporting - quarterly
  • Prepare and distribute reports to support high volume Members and Customers such as
    • Daily Natural Gas Energy price report
    • Weekly Electricity report
    • Weekly Storage report
    • Weekly Member and Customer Market update
  • Prepare and distribute reports for low volume Members and Customers
  • Accountable for other reporting as needed
  • Other duties as required
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications will assist the successful candidate in carrying out the above noted responsibilities:
  • 5 plus years of energy industry – both natural gas and electricity including regulatory (i.e. OEB reporting), utility (i.e. GDAR) and supplier processes.
  • Strong customer / communication orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and efficiently with all clients, staff, Board members and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with a high attention to details.
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills with consideration to both profitability to company and benefit to customer/Member
  • Thorough knowledge of current business methods and procedures including the ability to use Microsoft Office suite, Outlook and Access software.
  • Leadership qualities and independent contributor with ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Positive can do attitude.
  • Bilingual in French is a strong asset.
