Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, this position provides comprehensive community promotion and service integration to support the Residence’s occupancy and for the benefit of each resident from initial contact to admission.  The Community and Sales Coordinator assists with the execution of the Marketing Plan of the Residence in order to attain maximum occupancy targets as part of the strategic and financial plans.
 
Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Establishes and maintains contact with the community and stimulates community involvement through presentations, committee representations and other marketing techniques.  Represents the Residence at professional associations, community networks and business development outreach organizations.
• Assists in the admission needs of residents, acts as lead contact person, conducting personal visits and acting as occupancy agent for the Residence.
• Ensures a smooth transition from prospect to occupancy within the Retirement Residence as a key member of the sales team.

 
Applicants should have the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary courses in gerontology and marketing are preferred
• Demonstrated sales experience from initial contact to closing.
• Experience in seniors’ sector is preferred but must possess a genuine interest in connecting within the community, organizations and with people to promote our brand.
• Excellent organizational skills and familiarity with customer management software. Proficiency in computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Flexible schedule; ability to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills with a professional demeanor
• Must have a current driver’s license and own transportation.
• Must successfully complete an authorized Screening for Vulnerable Persons and Criminal Reference Check.
