Full-time Power Washer (Waterblasting)/General Mechanic

Our cleaning company has nearly 30 years of experience and we are currently seeking qualified Industrial Cleaners (Waterblaster/General Mechanic) located at our Guelph, ON (automotive/industrial parts) plant.

Qualifications:

Must be comfortable with repetitive tasks

Pressure washing and/or Waterblasting (up to 40K psi) experience is a plus

Must have flexible schedule (variable shifts, may include week-ends; Training is done during week-days; regular schedule can be days or nights, shifts may be of 8 hrs, 10 hrs or up to 12 hrs.)

Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Must have reliable transportation, some shifts may be outside of regular City Bus schedule.

Forklift license a PLUS

Ability to troubleshoot equipment breakdown and utilize blueprints, service manuals and schematic drawings

Expectation once training completed:

Demonstrate through work habit a safe approach to all tasks.

Waterblast parts to expected quota.

Participate in quota assessment for new product.

Conduct inspections and tests, repair or replace parts

Evaluate parts for reuse, repair or replacement

Diagnose equipment problems and take corrective action in order to minimize the impact on crew production

Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment

Prepare and submit equipment maintenance records.

Cover others during vacation period.

Working overtime may be expected but is not considered the norm.
